Paul Duckworth

Paul has worked in commercial roles for almost 30 years; his career started as an FMCG buyer, transitioning to Mars where he progressed through the organisation to become Marketing Controller, and then Sales Director.

Paul has worked in more than 30 countries, including time living and working in Europe as Commercial Director for two technology businesses; Paul’s experience spans SMEs to MNCs, CPG to Software, and both B2B and B2C organisations. 

An expert in culture and international business engagement, Paul has led the first engagement on many strategic large clients.  His approach to understanding new client language, systems and needs ensures that clients gain stretching support that feels immediately familiar.

Paul has worked in every continent with multiple businesses and is currently researching to develop a new framework for International Commercial Negotiations with specific focus areas of Cultural Differences, Negotiating Virtually with Different Cultures and the use of Virtual to Empower Female Negotiators.

Paul lives in Nottingham with his wife, Jo, and two children – Charlie (21) and Ned (2).  And yes, it is tiring.
